Tantra: The Timeless Art of Union

tantra unionThe meaning of the word Tantra, derived from Sanskrit, is “to weave”. In the tantric lifestyle, we weave together all aspects of our lives into one harmonious whole. Work becomes a meditation, making love becomes our spiritual practice, the lover and the beloved melt into one.

In the Tantric cosmology, the whole universe was created and continues to evolve through two fundamental forces, which together form one indestructible divine union. These are the male and the female aspects, and in Tantra they are represented by the goddess Shakti and the god Shiva.

Shakti represents the female principle of pure energy and dynamic potential, whereas Shiva who embodies the male principle, emanates creation and power. Together, Shiva and Shakti are the divine couple. Their erotic interplay, their cosmic dance, is how the world was created, according to the Tantric belief.

You may have seen Indian art depicting a man (often a Buddha-like figure) sitting with his legs crossed on a lotus flower and across his lap sits a woman, often depicted nude. This is the classic tantric position also known as

From the roof of the world. The most mysterious and mystical place of legend! The ultimate conversation piece for your home or office.

In Buddhist mythology, the garuas are enormous predatory birds with intelligence & social organization meaning “well-winged, having good wings”. Like the Ngas, they combine the characteristics of animals & divine beings & may be considered to be among the lowest devas.

The exact size of the garua is uncertain, but its wings are said to have a span of many miles. This may be a poetic exaggeration, but it is also said that when a garua’s wings flap, they create hurricane-like winds that darken the sky & blow down houses. A human being is so small compared to a garua that a man can hide in the plumage of one without being noticed. They are also capable of tearing up entire trees from their roots & carrying them off.

The garuas have kings & cities, & at least some of them have the magical power of changing into human form when they wish to have dealings with people. On some occasions Garua kings have had romances with human women in this form. Their dwellings are in groves of the silk-cotton tree.

The garuas are enemies to the Ngas, a race of intelligent serpent- or dragon-like beings, whom they hunt. The garuas at one time caught the ngas by seizing them by their heads; but the ngas learned that by swallowing large stones, they could make themselves too heavy to be carried by the garuas, wearing them out & killing them from exhaustion. This secret was divulged to one of the garuas by the ascetic Karambiya, who taught him how to seize a nga by the tail & force him to vomit up his stone.

The garuas were among the beings appointed by akra to guard Mount Sumeru & the Tryastria heaven from the attacks of the asuras.

In the Mahasamyatta Sutta, the Buddha is shown making temporary peace between the Nagas & the garuas.

Tantric Sex – Learn How To Have Sex The Tantric Way

Tantric sex originated in India and was originally used as a means to achieve spiritual growth and to connect to the divine realms.

It is possible to use the same approaches to maximize the total sexual ecstasy, both the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the sexual ecstasy. The approach can also be used to make the sexual pleasure last a very long time before you plunges into a intense climax.

Here are some advices about pracitising tantric sex that can be uses both by a woman and a man and by two gay or lesbian lovers.

- Before you begin you can set yourself in a relaxed but still allert state by sitting some while calming down from the stress of the day, having a cosy chat with each other, listening to some senual music and drinking a cup of strong coffee or tea. Eating some sensually spiced food can also help you appoach the righy state.

- Use a quiet room that is pleasantly warm and have a comfortable bed. Let it be some light in the room, so you can see each other, but not very bright. Then take off your clothes in a relaxed way and lie down totally naked at the top of the bed.

- Approach each other tightly, sling your arms and legs over or around each other and lie together and just relax. Lie some time tightly together and feel the presence of your lover. Begin caressing each other gently, but do not concentrate on any specific zone. Already now you will probably feel a strong arousal, and a lot off finely tuned feelings spreading as waves throughout your bodies and your mind.

- You will also feel a lot of exciting reactions in your intimate zones. Your genitals will begin to engorge. You will feel lubricating fluid coming out of your intimate holes. There will be gentle wave-like contractions beginning in your lower zones and spreading throughout your bodies that stimulate to even more feelings. You will sense a lot of exciting scents emanating from your partner and yourself.

- Now you gradually approach the more sensual points in the body of your lover, like the breast nipples, the navel, the vulva with the clitoris and vaginal opening, the scrotum and the penis, the natal clefts and rectal zone. Use your fingers to gently spread open the clandestine inner places of your partner, and separate your own legs to invite your lover inside to finger your own hideous areas. Caress with your fingers, first arounf the entrance and then deeper towards the bottom of the secret groves.

- All the time be sensual to whet your partner signals. Stay doing some time those things that you sense that your lover likes, but do not keep doing the same thing too long to avoid anything getting boring. Each time you caress some sensual place, do it first in a gentle relaxed manner, but gradually intensify your handling to increase the feelings of your partner towards a peek, but slip before your lover reach an orgasm.

- Now the time has come for one of you to mount upon the other and one of you to open up your intimate zones to offer your openings for full penetration. Then slowly and gently you penetrate your partner and you begin your undulating movements. Make it slowly and gently at the beginning, but gradually intensify so that the feelings of both of you reach the peak. Then relax to take your reactions somewhat down again. Repeat this many times and you get a steadily growing general excitement physically, mentally and spiritually.

- You can then choose to go out again of the intimate cave of your partner to let the feelings settle somewhat and again laying relaxed caressing and fingering each other. And then one of you can enter the other once again. You can do many such cycles of caressing, fingering and penetrating. All the time you will feel a constant mental ecstasy and a general physical arousal that steadily grow. Each time you intensivate your actions you will feel a more specific physical pleasure that intensify to a near infinite state.

- Eventually the time has come to conclude with the final climax. You can do so by stimulating each other with the fingers or by one of you entering your lover by his penis or also some sort of sexual toy. You stimulate steadily more intensely until you plunge into the orgasm.

- However, by tantric sex orgasm is not always the goal, and the intense ecstasy you feel before you decide to conclude with the climax is considered more important that the climax itself. Sometimes you will therefore choose not to have an orgasm. Then a great part of your arousal will remain during the day or night and give you a constant pleasure, and allow you to have a new session fairly soon with the same intensity of physical and mental feelings, and the same tight nearness to each other physically and spiritually.

Jade carvings of fantastic animals date back thousands of years and include representations of mythical creatures from Chinese as well as other cultures including Greek, Roman, and the Mid East. Many of these early carvings had sacred meanings and were included as ancient burial offerings. Chinese craftsmen have continued to use these motifs for hundreds, if not thousands of years. We purchased these statues as antiques but, with jade, which does not show age, there is no easy way to know how old they actually are. What we can say is that they are beautiful cultural relics, hand crafted from one of the worlds most colorful mineral treasures. Maybe the one you purchase will turn out to be one of the Neolithic artifacts worth millions… Well, we can dream.

Jade is cool to the touch and rings like iron when tapped. For 5,000 years jade has been shaped by abraiding with water and sand. It is the second strongest mineral next to diamond and was once considered more valuable than gold in the Orient.

The peace and quiet happiness of Buddha adds joy to your home. Siddhartha Gautama was a spiritual teacher in the northern region of the Indian subcontinent who founded Buddhism. He is generally seen by Buddhists as the Supreme Buddha of our age. The time of his birth and death are uncertain: most early 20th-century historians date his lifetime from c. 563 BCE to 483 BCE.

Gautama, also known as akyamuni(“sage of the Shakyas”), is the key figure in Buddhism, and accounts of his life, discourses, and monastic rules are believed by Buddhists to have been summarized after his death and memorized by his followers. Various collections of teachings attributed to Gautama were passed down by oral tradition, and first committed to writing about 400 years later.

Lamas vajra dorje Tibetan bronze with exquisite inlaid coral traditional stone decoration Lhasa, Tibet.
The vajra is made up of several parts:

In the center is a sphere which represents Sunyata, the primordial nature of the universe, the underlying unity of all things.

Emerging from the sphere are two eight petalled lotus flowers. One represents the phenomenal world (or in Buddhist terms Samsara), the other represents the noumenal world (or Nirvana).

Arranged equally around the mouth of the lotus are two, four, or eight mythical creatures which are called makaras. These are mythological half-fish, half-crocodile creatures made up of two or more animals, often representing the union of opposites, (or a harmonisation of qualities that transcend our usual experience).

From the mouths of the makaras come tongues which come together in a point.

The five pronged vajra (with four makaras, plus a central prong) is the most commonly seen vajra. There is an elaborate system of correspondences between the five elements of the noumenal side of the vajra, and the phenomenal side. One important correspondence is between the five “poisons” with the five wisdoms. The five poisons are the mental states that obscure the original purity of a being’s mind, while the five wisdoms are the five most important aspects of the enlightened mind. Each of the five wisdoms is also associated with a Buddha figure.

The following are the five poisons and the analogous five wisdoms with their associated Buddha figures:

Poison Wisdom Buddha
desire wisdom of individuality Amitabha
anger, hatred mirror-like wisdom Akshobhya
delusion reality wisdom Vairocana
greed, pride wisdom of equanimity Ratnasambhava
envy all-accomplishing wisdom Amoghasiddhi

The wisdom of individuality is also known as Discriminating Wisdom.

The compassion of Quan Yin will bless your home with her peace and joy. Buddhist legend presents Guan Yin as vowing to never rest until she had freed all sentient beings from samsara, reincarnation. Despite strenuous effort, she realized that still many unhappy beings were yet to be saved. After struggling to comprehend the needs of so many, her head split into eleven pieces. Amitabha Buddha, seeing her plight, gave her eleven heads with which to hear the cries of the suffering. Upon hearing these cries and comprehending them, Avalokitesvara attempted to reach out to all those who needed aid, but found that her two arms shattered into pieces. Once more, Amitabha came to her aid and appointed her a thousand arms with which to aid the many. Many Himalayan versions of the tale include eight arms with which Avalokitesvara skillfully upholds the Dharma, each possessing its own particular implement, while more Chinese-specific versions give varying accounts of this number.
In China, it is said that fishermen used to pray to her to ensure safe voyages.
